One of the biggest parts about Halloween is dressing up in a fun or scary costume.  While kids love the candy, spooky music and trick or treating, usually most kid’s favorite aspect of Halloween is dressing up in a costume.  Here are some tips on making Halloween extra special for your children.

Today, it is easier than ever to find great costumes for your kids.  Whether your kids love superheroes, traditional costumes such as ghost, vampires or witches, or current characters like Harry Potter, you can find these costumes at almost any discount store or party store.

Most costumes cost less than $30 and if your child doesn’t like a costume off the rack, you can always put together one with the many Halloween accessories available to create a great costume of your own.  Besides costumes, make up is also important.  Many spooky make up kits are available that can turn any cute face into a monster.  Make up kits are extremely easy and lots of fun to apply.  Besides the make up, you can always find great facial accessories such as vampire teeth, long witch noses and lots of wigs.

It is also important to plan ahead.  Many of the in demand costumes and accessories disappear by mid October, so make sure you start shopping early on.  For a great Halloween experience, dress your kids up in great costumes.
