For parents with young children or anyone looking to learn basic strategies that can help you give immediate medical attention to others, first aid courses are extremely practical.

Today, you can find plenty of first aid courses given each year in almost any town. Many first aid courses are given at local hospitals, fire departments or police stations.  First aid courses can last a few hours for CPR or several meetings to learn the most practical first aid techniques.  All first aid courses are taught by licensed or certified nurses or EMT’s so that you can learn the proper way to administer these techniques if it is called upon you.

Many organizations such as schools, corporations and little leagues ask many of their members to take first aid course. Many of these organizations even pay for the courses.
First aid courses are relatively affordable and well worth the cost.  Fees are usually less than $100 for a single class and little more for longer courses. There are also specialized first aid courses to deal with children, the elderly and for rescue situations.  If you are looking to learn something that is extremely practical as well as life saving, take a first aid course.
