The new cache-simulating capabilities of VuGen help to substantially improve performance of all Web Vusers.

<GUI-level Support for PeopleSoft and Oracle >
New GUI-level support is provided for both PeopleSoft Enterprise and Oracle Web Applications 11i. VuGen generates intuitive GUI-level functions that emulate actions on GUI objects. For example, web_button is generated when you press a button, and web_edit_field is generated when you enter text into an edit box. This version supports HTML scripts written in Javascript, including querying and modifying the HTML DOM (Document Object Model) properties used in the PeopleSoft environment.

Enhanced  Web Services  Support :

Web Services Test Wizard guides you through the process of creating a Web Services script, or allows automatic script creation with random values.

Run-time setting adjust according to type of Web Services client emulation (e.g. .Net, AXIS).

<SOAP Recording >
VuGen records all of the SOAP 1.1 traffic over your network, generating a soap_request function for each request.

<Replay >
You can replay the soap_request and web_service_call functions over HTTP.

<WSDL parsing and code generation >
VuGen parses WSDL files and allows viewing and filling in arguments of the parsed Web Service methods.

XML Snapshot Viewer - A window containing a snapshot of the XML code. In the Snapshot viewer, you can perform queries within the XML and select values to correlate. The values may also be displayed in a grid, simplifying the correlation process.

Tree View - Web Services functions are displayed as nodes in the script tree. The web_service_call function allows you to view and parameterize Web Service arguments. The soap_request function allows you to view and edit the entire XML structure in both tree and text formats.

Table Parameters: Table type parameters provide the ability to fill an entire table with a single command.

Optional Windows: This feature handles screens which may appear during replay and allows the Vuser script to continue running even if an optional window does not appear.
