IM2 is a cross-platform instant messaging application that allows users to chat across all major IM networks – AOL Instant Messenger, MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ, and IRC. All conversations with IM2 are secured end-to-end by default with encryption, ensuring that conversations will never inadvertently fall into the hands of anyone but the participants of a conversation.

IM2 requires Microsoft Windows (98, 98SE, Me, NT, 2000, or XP) and 10MB of free hard drive space in order to be installed. An Internet connection is required to connect to the various IM networks.

To date, IM2 is available exclusively for the Windows operating system. However, IM2 engineers are hard at work extending IM2’s unique functionality to Linux, Mac, and Palm platforms.

IM2 is and will always be free of charge. Premium features (such as VoIP and on the fly language translation) will be offered for a fixed cost in the future.
