One of the toughest tasks for many of us to achieve is to lose weight.  We spend billions of dollars each year trying to lose a few pounds in order to be much more healthier and fit.  For many people looking for an easy and remarkably effective way to lose weight, follow the tips below.

One of the best ways to lose weight is to both exercise and eat less.  While you probably heard this all before, you probably didn’t realize that you don’t have to starve yourself or work out at the gyms hours each day.

First, cut down your calorie intake by 25%.  It sounds like a lot, but cutting down your intake from 2000 calories to only 1500 is quite easy.  It can be as simple as cutting down on 2 or 3 sodas each day or choosing a salad without high calorie dressing instead of a bacon cheeseburger.  For most people, you don’t need to change your eating habits drastically, just cut out the excesses and empty calories.  Choose leaner cuts of meat like chicken and certain types of pork and eat vegetables instead of fried potatoes.

When it comes to working out, you don’t need to be a body builder or spend your days in the gym.  You can easily lose 300 calories per hour by walking briskly.  Anyone can walk for an hour each day; you can even exercise on the treadmill and watch your favorite TV show or listen to the radio, making it very enjoyable.  By cutting down your calories to 1500 each day and losing an extra 300 calories each day by walking an hour, you can lose close to a dozen pounds each month.  Which means for many people wanting to lose 10, 20 or even 30 pounds, you can easily achieve your goal in a very short period of time.
