If you are looking to get in shape, but don’t really want to work out with weights, treadmills or other complex exercise equipment, look to the old favorites.  Many people love to use old fashion muscle to work out and they choose to jump rope, squeeze grips and do chin ups.  Here are some tips.

Jumping rope is as good as it gets, when it comes to cardio exercise.  Anyone that has jumped rope immediately notices how much stamina it takes as well as using various muscle groups to tone your body.  The great part about jumping rope is that it is extremely affordable costing less than $5.

Grips are another great exercise that effectively exercises your hands and forearms.  If you are looking for a solid hand shake or to improve your lower arm and hand muscles, nothing comes close to squeeze grips.

Chin ups are also a great exercise.  You can easily buy a chin up bar which can fit in between a door frame. Most people don’t realize how much strength you need just to do a dozen chin ups.  Chin ups are a great way to increase your upper body strength and build stamina.  Chin up bars can usually can be found for less than $30 at most sporting goods stores.
